JAN SHIKSHAN SANSTHAN
The Scheme of Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS), formerly known as Shramik Vidyapeeth is being implemented through NGOs in the country since March 1967. With the transformation in the economic and social setup over the years, the focus of Shramik Vidyapeeth (SVP) was shifted from industrial workers in urban areas to the non-literates, neo-literates, unskilled and unemployed youth particularly from SC/ST/OBC/Minority/Divyang/Women throughout the country especially to underprivileged people in the rural areas. The SVPs were accordingly renamed as Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS) w.e.f. the year 2000. The scheme of Jan Shikshan Sansthan was consequently transferred to the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) in July 2018.
Prime Focus of Jan Shikshan Sansthan:
Jan Shikshan Sansthan`s are conceived as institutes for conducting skill up-gradation programme in Non-formal mode in rural and urban slums of a district while also providing academic and technical support to its target group. The Scheme aims to provide vocational education and skill development programs to non-literates, neo literates, and the person having a rudimentary level of education belonging to disadvantaged sections of the society up to 12th class Dropouts in the age group of 15- 45 years. While the focus group of JSS is SC/ST, minorities women/girls, migrants, and slum/pavement dwellers, adolescents are also given preferences under the scheme. The Scheme of JSS is being successfully implemented with the public and private partnerships for the last 50 years through NGOs. These NGOs play a vital role to provide vocational training at the doorstep of the beneficiaries in the unreached areas of the country.

About Sankalp: The MSDE launched the National Skill Development Mission (NSDM) to create an end-to-end implementation framework that provides opportunities for quality short and long-term Skill Development (SD), leading to productive employment and career progression that meets the aspirations of trainees. After the launch of the National Skill Development Mission (NSDM), SANKALP was conceived to support NSDM in achieving its full potential. SANKALP has been conceptualized to operationalize Skill India Mission by setting in motion the sub-missions proposed under the NSDM. SANKALP addresses the ongoing challenges like decentralization (strengthening district ecosystem), universalization of National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF), standardization of certification and assessments, bringing about convergence, infusing quality in skill development programs and making them market-relevant while ensuring private participation.
Purpose of Sankalp: To strengthen institutional mechanisms for skill development and increase access to quality and market-relevant training for youth across the country. About PMKVY:
Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) implemented by National Skill Development Corporation.
Purpose of PMKVY and how it works:
The aim of the PMKVY scheme is to encourage aptitude towards employable skills and to increase the working efficiency of probable and existing daily wage earners, by giving monetary awards and rewards and by providing quality training to them. Training programs have been worked out on the basis of National Occupational Standards (Nos.) and qualification packs specifically developed in various sectors of skills. For this qualification plans and quality, plans have been developed by various Sector Skill Councils (SSC) created with the participation of Industries. National Skill Development Council (NSDC) has been made coordinating and driving agency for the same.

PRADHAN MANTRI KAUSHAL KENDRA
Vocational training needs to be made aspirational to transform India into the skill capital of the world. In line with the same, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship ( MSDE ) intends to establish visible and aspirational Model Training Centres ( MTCs ) in every district of the country. NSDC is the implementation agency for the project.
Objectives of PMKK Centers:
- Create benchmark institutions that demonstrate aspirational value for competency-based skill development training.
- Focus on elements of quality, sustainability, and Connection with stakeholders in the skills delivery process.
- Transform from a Mandate-driven footloose model to a sustainable institutional model.
These training centers will be state-of-the-art Model Training Centres, called as Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra ( PMKK ).

Funding Support
Capital Expenditure
NSDC will provide a concessional secured loan funding per center, up to 75% of the project investment, to cover expenditure only related to:
- Training infrastructure including the purchase of plant, machinery & equipment
- Training aid and other associated items
- Civil work including setting up prefabricated structures and retrofit existing structures
Operations Support
The sustainability of the centers will be assured against dedicated training numbers under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna (PMKVY) or its successor schemes (any other scheme under MSDE or NSDC). Each PMKK will be assured a training mandate for three years, under the PMKVY scheme, as per common norms, subject to capacity, and utilization of the center.

DDU-GKY
The Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) announced the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) Antyodaya Diwas, on 25th September 2014. DDU-GKY is a part of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), tasked with the dual objectives of adding diversity to the incomes of rural poor families and cater to the career aspirations of rural youth.
DDU-GKY is uniquely focused on rural youth between the ages of 15 and 35 years from poor families. As a part of the Skill India campaign, it plays an instrumental role in supporting the social and economic programs of the government like the Make In India, Digital India, Smart Cities and Start-Up India, Stand-Up India campaigns. Over 180 million or 69% of the country’s youth population between the ages of 18 and 34 years, live in its rural areas. Of these, the bottom of the pyramid youth from poor families with no or marginal employment number about 55 million.
The National Policy for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship 2015 has identified a skills gap of 109.73 million in 24 key sectors by the year 2022. This number cannot be achieved without addressing the BoP 55 million from rural India. Also, a FICCI and Ernst – Young study published in 2013 identified a shortage of over 47 million skilled workers across the globe by 2020. This presents an unprecedented opportunity for India to train its BoP youth population and place them in jobs across the world and realize its demographic dividend.
DDU-GKY takes pride in its partners and their ability to add value. Innovation from partners is encouraged to build scale and capacity… its unique implementation structure involves partners, who are by nature, committed to changing lives and are experts in their areas, they form a part of the Skilling Ecosystem integrated by DDU-GKY. Partners are supported through investment, capacity building, strategies for retention, linkages to international placement and technology support for training purposes.
DDU-GKY is present in 28 States and UTs, across 689 districts, impacting youth from over 7,426 blocks. It currently has over 1,575 projects being implemented by over 717 partners, in more than 502 trades from 50 industry sectors. Over 9.9 Lakh candidates have been trained and over 5.3 Lakh candidates have been placed in jobs as on 1st April, 2020. From 2012, DDU-GKY has so far committed an investment of more than INR 5,600 Crores, impacting rural youth pan-India.

Special initiatives
In order to ensure complete social and regional inclusion the following special schemes have been launched;
Himayat: A special scheme for the youth (rural & urban) of Jammu & Kashmir.
Roshni: A special initiative for the rural youth of poor families in 27 Left-wing Extremist (LWE) districts across 9 states.
Northeast Region: 10% of DDU-GKY programme funds are reserved for projects in North-East, wherein the centre contributes 90% of training costs to ensure opportunities for rural youth from North-East.

Youth is the assets & Pillar of every state, hence to strengthen them, we at Mission is focusing on Enhancing & Upgrading” their skills & strive for Excellence through implementation of Skill development & Entrepreneurship initiative and programs in the state. We have been making efforts to create an ecosystem for youth which will provide the opportunities through trainings so that they could access skilled employment opportunities & set up self-employment ventures which shall further help them in attaining better quality sustainable life. We already have 80+ courses, which covers 15+ different sectors available for the youth of Haryana in our schemes like SURYA, SAKSHAM, PMKVY etc. The Mission also have Entrepreneurship scheme which is currently being implemented through HVSU. Equipped with a team of professionals and cutting edge Training partners, each program is implemented with the vision of developing futuristic knowledge, skills and ability of employable relevance. Formulation, execution and implementation of diversified schemes with a vision of catering to the versatile skill development needs of the state is the main focus of Mission. Channelising resources and optimising funds with a vision to impact lives is our guiding principle.
UKSDM
Uttarakhand Skill Development Mission (UKSDM) has been providing free skill development training to youth over all 13 districts urban and rural sectors of state. In order to address the challenges of unemployment and ensuring gainful and sustainable employment to the youth of the state, Hon'ble Chief Minister created Uttarakhand Skill Development Mission UKSDM in February 2013. The state plan to train 6.5 lac youth and provide employment.
NULM
To reduce poverty and vulnerability of the urban poor households by enabling them to access gainful self employment and skilled wage employment opportunities,resulting in an appreciable improvement in their livelihoods on a sustainable basis,through building strong grassroots level institutions of the poor.The mission would aim at providing shelters equipped with essential services to the urban homeless in a phased manner.In addition,the mission would also address livelihood concerns of the urban street vendors by facilitating access to suitable spaces,institutional credit,social security and skills to the urban street vendors for accessing emerging market opportunities.
SAMARTH
An Overview
The textile and apparel industry is one of the earliest industries developed in India. Its entire value chain from fiber to apparel manufacturing has a strong presence within the country. It is the biggest employer after agriculture. In order to meet the skill gap in the industry and also to supplement its efforts initiated through the Special Package for Garments and Made-ups, the Government has approved the new scheme titled “Scheme for Capacity Building in Textile Sector (SCBTS)” for the entire value chain of textile except Spinning and Weaving in the organized sector, for a period of three years from 2017-18 to 2019-20 with an outlay of Rs. 1300 crore.
About “समर्थ (Samarth)”
The ‘Scheme for Capacity Building in Textile Sector (SCBTS)’ shall be known by the name “समर्थ (Samarth)”, signifying the broad objective of the scheme to skill the youth for gainful and sustainable employment in the textile sector.
Objectives
- To provide demand driven, placement oriented National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) compliant skilling programmes to incentivize and supplement the efforts of the industry in creating jobs in the organized textile and related sectors, covering the entire value chain of textile, excluding Spinning and Weaving.
- To promote skilling and skill upgradation in the traditional sectors of handlooms, handicrafts, sericulture and jute.
- To enable provision of sustainable livelihood either by wage or self employment to all sections of the society across the country.
The Scheme would target to train 10.00 lakh persons (9 lakhs in organised & 1 lakh in traditional sector)
The skilling programmes would be implemented through following Implementing Agencies:
- Textile Industry.
- Institutions/Organization of the Ministry of Textiles/State Governments having training infrastructure and placement tie-ups with textile industry.
- Reputed training institutions/ NGOs/ Societies/ Trusts/ Organizations/ Companies /Start Ups / Entrepreneurs active in textile sector having placement tie-ups with textile industry.
The scheme will broadly adopt the following strategy:
- Aadhaar enabled biometric attendance system with minimum 80% attendance for assessment
- Training by certified trainers having Training of Trainers (ToT) certification by RSA/SSCs
- CCTV recording for entire training programme and assessment process.
- Third party assessment and certification by assessment agencies empaneled by RSA
- Placement linked skilling programme with mandatory wage employment in organized sector (70%) and in traditional sector (50%) and post placement tracking for one year
- Random physical verification of active training centres
- NSQF aligned courses
- Robust MIS and real-time Scheme information publicized in Ministry of Textiles website.
- Call centre (Helpline) set-up to collect feedback
- Mobile app for different stakeholders to ease out monitoring and implementation mechanism.
- Preference given to marginalized social groups and 115 aspirational districts
- Public Grievance redressal with designated Grievance Redressal Officer from Ministry of Textiles
- Internal complaints committee to be constituted under the Sexual Harassment of women at workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, redressal) Act ,2013
- Funding as per common norms of MSDE
- Common branding as per guidelines of MSDE
- For self-empolyment, concessional credit under the Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana will be provided for beneficiaries.
Monitoring and Management Information System (MIS)
A centralized web-based Management Information System (MIS) has been put in place for monitoring and implementation of the scheme. MIS shall act as an integrated platform for registration and empanelment of Implementing Agencies. All aspects of programme management and implementation such as submission of proposals, release of funds, enrolment of candidates, functioning of training, physical verification, assessment, placement, post-placement tracking etc. will be managed through MIS. The release of funds will be linked to physical progress updated on the MIS.
A Mobile Application for different stakeholders TC Coordinator, Inspection Agency, beneficiaries and grievance redressal with Geo-tag, timestamp and evaluation.is linked to the MIS modules.
Call centre setup with helpline/ Toll free number linked to MIS and Public Dashboard.
Integrated Skill Development Scheme (ISDS)
An Overview
Indian Textile Industry occupies a unique position in the national economy owning to its high employability and diversity of skill sets required in the wide range of segments, ranging from products of traditional handloom, handicrafts, wool, silk products to the organized textile industry comprising of spinning, weaving, processing, apparel and garment characterized by usage of capital intensive technology for mass production of textile products. The textiles sector has the second largest employment after agriculture sector and occupies an important position in the Indian economy. It also contributes 14% to industrial production, 4% to India’s GDP and constitutes to 13% of country’s export earning, with over 45 million people employed directly.
Scheme Background
- As per the NSDC report, the overall employment in the textile and clothing sector expected to increase from about 33 to 35 million in 2008 to about 60 to 62 million by 2022.
- This would translate to an incremental humanresource requirement of about 25 million persons by 2022.
- Of this, the mainstream textile and clothing sector has the potential to employ about 17 million persons incrementally till 2022.
With a view to address the manpower requirement of the diverse textile and related segments, the Ministry of Textiles introduced pilot phase of Integrated Skilled Development Scheme (ISDS) in the last two years of the 11th Five Year Plan Year 2010-11. Subsequently, the scheme has been scaled up during the 12th plan with a target of skilling 15 lakhs persons by the end of March 2017.
The government provides a grant subsidy to the extent of 75% of product cost with a ceiling of Rs. 10,000/- per trainee. The Scheme is being implemented by leveraging existing institutional strength and training experience through three components.
- Component I – Institutions/TRAs under MoT
- Component II – Private Industry Partners in PPP mode
- Component III – State Government Agencies
As of now a total of 11.3 lakh training targets has been sanctioned under 76 projects to around 58 implementing agencies spread across all over India. Variety of shareholders like Textile research associations, private training partners, industry associations, State Government institutions are working in cooperation and coordination under the ambit of the Ministry of Textiles for fulfilling the skilling requirement of the textile and related sector.
The scheme has experienced significant progress over the last 5 years and around 4.20 lakhs candidates has been successfully trained across diverse sectors like Apparel and Garments, Textiles, Handlooms, Handcrafts, sericulture, technical textiles, Jutes etc. During the year 2010, around 6 projects were sanctioned under the scheme which has increased progressively to 57 in the year 2014 and 76 in the year 2015-16.
Mid-term modification of scheme guidelines
In terms of the broad skill policy framework of the Government and ‘Make in India’ initiatives, the scheme has been revamped in FY 2014-15 with a view to simplify the procedure and to focus on partnering with industry for scaling up of implementation of training programme with assured employment. Given the vide spectrum and range of activities, the scheme provides enough scope for flexibility to ensure that a gamut of need-based skill development options received under the scheme. Following are the major modification introduced in the scheme guidelines to make it more outcome oriented.
- Preference to be given for skill development in organized textiles industry as Apparel & Garmenting, Technical Textiles, Weaving and Spinning for making a non-worker a worker.
- Placement with a reasonable salary has been made a major yardstick of the scheme. All implementing agencies to place 70% trainees in wage employment with minimum wage prescribed for his/her skill category.
- Trainees for ISDS may be selected from jobseekers amongst the rural youth, having educational qualification preferably below 10+2 standard information with employment exchanges may be leveraged for identification of trainees.
- The training program across the scheme has to follow MIS discipline without any exception. MIS data is the only source for training under ISDS. Payment to IAs shall be processed based on system generated reports.
- A web enabled certification system is to be introduced, where IAs can download system generated certificates as soon as assessment agencies input their data in MS.
Scheme Reach
The scheme has a wide spread reach with training being conducted in almost all Indian States/ UTs etc. Around 3,250 training centers are present across different Indian States, cities and rural areas including remote location, backwards region, left wing extremist affected area etc. Out of the total 664 districts Indian districts, around 357 districts have been covered under the scheme and trainees from different strata of the society are the major beneficiaries.
ISDS: PAN India Presence
Under ISDS scheme, special emphasis has been laid on selecting the trainees from the job seekers amongst the rural youth having educational qualification preferably 10+2 standard. Key focus has been given to target weaker/underprivileged sections of the society for the upliftment of their economic status and to provide opportunities for livelihood. The scheme reach has been highly inclusive and major stress has been laid on targeting backward section and reaching the lowest stratum of the society. Out of the total successful trainees trained till July 2015, around55% of the trainees belongs to backward section including the SC/ST/OBC/Minority. Furthermajority of the candidates trained under the scheme are women.
Nai Roshni
For women empowerment, Ministry started “Nai Roshni”, a Leadership Development Programme for Minority Women in 2012-13. The objective of the scheme is to empower and instill confidence among minority women, including their neighbours from other communities living in the same village/locality, by providing knowledge, tools and techniques for interacting with Government systems, banks and other institutions at all levels.
Empowerment of women per se is not only essential for equity, but also constitutes a critical element in our fight for poverty reduction, economic growth and strengthening of civil society. Women and children are always the worst sufferers in a poverty stricken family and need support. Empowering women, especially mothers, is even more important as it is in homes that she nourishes, nurture and moulds the character of her offspring.
The effort would embolden minority women to move out of the confines of their home and community and assume leadership roles and assert their rights, collectively or individually, in accessing services, facilities, skills, and opportunities besides claiming their due share of development benefits of the Government for improving their lives and living conditions.
“Nai Roshni” programme is run with the help of NGOs, Civil societies and Government Institutions all over the country. It includes various training modules like Leadership of women, Educational Programmes, Health and Hygiene, Swachch Bharat, Financial Literacy, Life Skills, Legal Rights of Women, Digital Literacy and Advocacy for Social and behavioural change.
SEEKHO AUR KAMAO
“Seekho aur Kamao (Learn & Earn)” is a scheme implemented since 2013-14 for skill development of minorities. The scheme aims at upgrading the skills of minority youth in various modern/traditional skills depending upon their qualification, present economic trends and market potential, which can earn them suitable employment or make them suitably skilled to go for self-employment. The scheme is implemented through selected expert Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs).The scheme ensures placements of minimum 75% trainees, out of which at least 50% placement is in organized sector.
Free Coaching Scheme for SC and OBC Students
Objective
The objective of the Scheme is to provide coaching of good quality for economically disadvantaged Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) candidates to enable them to appear in competitive examinations and succeed in obtaining an appropriate job in Public/Private Sector.
Implementing Agencies
The Scheme will be implemented through the reputed coaching institutions/centres run by the:
- Central Government/State Governments/UT Administrations/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies under Central/State Governments;
- Universities (both Central and State) including the Deemed Universities and Private Universities recognized by concerned authority; and
- Registered private institutions/NGOs.
Scheme for Implementation of PwD Act (SIPDA)
A Dynamic and evolving organization with a National Vision and focus of skilling Persons with Disability, The Skill Council for Persons with Disability (SCPwD) was incepted in October 2015 to offer Persons with Disability meaningful, industry relevant, skill based training. The Organization was promoted by Confederation of Indian Industry under the aegis of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. All initiatives taken by SCPwD empowering PwD (Persons with Disability), move towards formulating local and national level strategies for shaping the future of PwD in India. Towards this beginning, there are several projects which have been undertaken by the council since its inception. One among the recent is the collaboration with Glasgow Kelvin College, Scotland under UK-India Education and Research Institute (UKIERI) to benchmark standards between India and Scotland in the area of Disability.
We aspire for a successful endeavor for PwD by addressing the skilling gap, providing right tools and work environment to effectively perform their jobs. SCPwD is now poised for future growth, driven by a National Vision and outreach, with a philosophy that assigns primacy for PwD to enterprise in the Government sector, Industry and also individual accomplishments.

The Ministry of Tourism, is the nodal agency for the formulation of national policies and programmes and for the co-ordination of activities of various Central Government Agencies, State Governments/UTs and the Private Sector for the development and promotion of tourism in the country.This Ministry is headed by the Union Minister of State for Tourism (Independent Charge).
The administrative head of the Ministry is the Secretary (Tourism). The Secretary also acts as the Director General (DG) Tourism. The office of the Director General of Tourism {now merged with the office of Secretary (Tourism)} provides executive directions for the implementation of various policies and programmes. Directorate General of Tourism has a field formation of 20 offices within the country and 14 offices abroad and one sub-ordinate office/project i.e. Indian Institute of Skiing and Mountaineering (IISM)/ Gulmarg Winter Sports Project. Capacity Building For Service Providers (CBSP)
A large segment of people are involved directly and indirectly in the tourism industry. Professional expertise is required for specialized vocations in this field. At present there are Food Craft Institutes (FCIs) and Institute of Hotel Management (IHMs) where technical training is being provided to persons for the Hospitality Industry. Tourism training is being provided by the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management, Gwalior, its Eastern Regional Centre at Bhubneswar, and through its various “Chapters” located at different places in the country to persons for taking up professions in the Travel and Tourism Industry. The tourism service providers are both in the approved/ organized and also the unorganized sector. The IHMs and FCIs cater mainly to organized sector i.e. Hotels and Restaurants. At the same time, there are a large number of persons who are engaged in the unorganized sector such as small hotels, road side eating places, ticketing/ travel agencies, dhabas etc.
There is a segment of tourism service providers who are engaged in other professions but come in contact with the tourist. These persons, such as staff at bus/ railway stations, police personnel, immigration staff at airports, coolies, taxi/ coach drivers, staff at monuments, guides etc.
The tourists come in contact with various service providers and it is this experience they have while interacting with the cutting edge governs their experience of India as a tourist destination. It was therefore felt necessary that this large number of service providers are given certain inputs which can improve their behavior and service levels. Therefore a Scheme was formulated wherein these service providers in the unorganized sector are given some inputs so as to upgrade their behavior and service skills.
Some of the important areas being covered under the training include Health & Personal Hygiene, Cleanliness, Basic Service techniques, Cooking Techniques, Garbage Disposal, Etiquette and basic manners, basic nutrition values. Energy saving and basic tourism awareness, Communication skills, Behaviour Skills, First Aid, Client Handling & Behaviour Skills etc.are also covered in the training programmes. The duration of the course ranges from 4 days to 6 days.
The implementing agencies have been given flexibility in devising the training programmes/ modules. However, general parameters have been fixed.
Under this scheme the institutions are conducting Training using their own infrastructures in their own premises or are providing the training at site of the service providers. In the case of IHMs and FCIs the Faculty and students are being used widely. A large number of the Service providers are located around the tourist sites and therefore such persons have to be trained at their place of work.

Haryana Skill Development Mission (HSDM) has been established in May 2015 by State Government with an aim to empower youth to take part in the economic and all around growth of HARYANA AND INDIA. About Scheme
Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) implemented by National Skill Development Corporation. The objective of this Skill Certification Scheme is to enable a large number of Indian youth to take up industry-relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better livelihood.

About Project:
Recogonition of Prior Learning commonly known as RPL largely refers to an assessment process used to evaluate a person's existing skill sets, knowledge and experience gained either by formal, non-formal or informal learning.
In August 2018, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministries of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship to jointly undertake upskilling and certification of 100,000 RAC service technicians on good servicing practices and knowledge of alternative refrigerants to ozone-depleting chemicals. The project will be funded under the Skill India Mission – Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) and will be jointly implemented by ESSCI and Ozone Cell.
Gramin Shiksha Contribution:
As Gramin Shiksha is a Training Partner with Electronics Sector Skill Council and undergone Training of about 10000 candidates under PMKVY-RPL of RAC Technicians in 7 states i.e Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Himachal Pradesh and contributed with ESSCI to achieve the target.
UKSDM
Uttarakhand Skill Development Mission (UKSDM) has been providing free skill development training to youth overall 13 districts urban and rural sectors of the state. In order to address the challenges of unemployment and ensuring gainful and sustainable employment to the youth of the state, Hon'ble Chief Minister created Uttarakhand Skill Development Mission UKSDM in February 2013. The state plan to train 6.5 lac youth and provide employment.
Gramin Shiksha Contribution:
As per the plan of Uttrakhand Skill Development Mission to train 6.5 lac youth, Gramin Shiksha has also contributed to achieving the target and created a well-established center in Health Sector in Laksar, Haridwar (District of Uttrakhand) with desired job role in Health Industry i.e Medical Lab Technicians and Emergency Medical Technicians with 240 number of students.
RSLDC
Rajasthan is the first state in India to establish a mission for livelihoods, in September 2004, in order to address the challenges of unemployment and ensuring gainful and sustainable employment by formulating appropriate and innovative strategies for the poor and vulnerable people. In view of the importance regarding skill development for enhancing employability of working population, Rajasthan Mission on Skill and Livelihoods, in 2009-10, formulated specific action plans to provide further impetus to the Skill Trainings.

Udaan
Udaan is the Special Industry Initiative (SII) funded by the Ministry of Home Affairs and implemented by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) focused to provide skills and Job Opportunities to the youth in Jammu & Kashmir. Udaan is a partnership project between Corporates, NSDC, Youth of J&K.
The target of Udaan to reach 40000 youth in Jammu and Kashmir over a period of 5 Years.
Objectives of Udaan:

♦ To provide skills and Job Opportunities to the youth in Jammu & Kashmir.

Process for Training Partners:

Process for Training Centers and Students:
Selected candidates are requested to join Udaan partners training centres

Sunita Rani
With the high education costs, it becomes challenging for weaker sections of society to access quality education. Most of the learners in this segment of society discontinue their studies and choose meagre employment to support their family. However, there are few exceptions that, through their will and determination, capitalize on the opportunities offered to them and earn a dignified and sustainable standard of living. One such story is of Sunita Rani.
Belonging to an economically disadvantaged family, Sunita Rani comes from the rural region of Fatehabad, Haryana. As a result, increased living costs have made it hard for her to meet the basic needs of the family. This compelled Sunita Rani not to go for higher studies and instead, choose a job that helps him provide for his family. She began to work in her home by running a small parlour to contribute to his family’s revenue but due to absence of required skills, she was unable to succeed.
One day, Sunita Rani came to know about the Skill India Mission and the various training programs under the initiative. She considered this to be a great opportunity and visited the Gramin Shiksha Private Limited Training Center in fatehabad where she met the training centre counsellor.
She understood the components of the training, gained information about the Beauty sector, potential job profiles in the sector, scope and entrepreneurial idea of self-contracting among other factors. Assuring herself and his family, she enrolled herself for the three-month course where she became proficient at her skills and sectorial knowledge. Additionally, she also learnt how to converse in Basic English, operate computers, and present herself in front of others.
After completing the course, she was Runing her own Parlour with the name of Herbal Beauty Zone and earning more than 30000 Rs./- She has been working effectively and happily in her new life and always thanks skill india mission which makes her capable to earn this life style.
Ravi Kumar
Ravi's life story exemplifies that dreams can be achieved by determination. The 21-year-old boy from fatehabad witnessed misery and hardship throughout his life. His father, a farmer by profession was affectionate and caring but couldn’t financially support his family of four children. Living in the world of bare necessities, Ravi always desired to help his family monetarily but he had no work
Ravi completed his primary education in 2015. He couldn’t embark a journey of higher studies due to family’s financial constraints But Ravi knew from heart that there were opportunities for him out there and giving up hope meant giving upon life. In search of a dignified and secure life, Ravi joined a Gramin Shiksha Private Limited.
Where Ravi joined Computer Hardware Technician course by Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY). Decided about making a career in this and understood what it is known to Computer Computer Hardware.
After the completion of the course, Ravi Ravi got a job which is very happy for him. It will cost 85000Rs / - per month. Skill India brought a new ray of hope in Ravi's life, still was not satisfied with this job
Ravi learned his job curry well for 1 year and wanted to do his business, took a loan to start his employment under pradhan mantri mudra yojana and opened his shop to become the owner of the business today.
Ravi says that he will provide all his services to the field of Hardware Service and that any from the government regarding the same would be grateful to PMKVY. He also wishes that government organizes more trainings programmes to the students and unemployed youth and make them skill full and provide with career opportunities.

Anirudh Kumar is a native of ratiea , fatehabad District. His father Mr.savarayyahis a farmer from sompeta Mandal, srikakulamDistrict. His education was in his home town; Anirudh Kumar always tried to suit up with new trainings and technologies. He showed lot of interest in learning Hardware &Networkingcourses.His interest in Hardware & Networking courses made him to join renowned institute to learn computer services but soon he realized that he could not afford such an expensive course costing Rs.20,000 and decided to stop continuing it. Meanwhile He came to know about the training programmes conducted by Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) through his friends and has approached the organization. There he attended an Hardware Technician programme. He was shocked knowing that the course is entirely free and immediately grabbed the opportunity to join the Hardware & Networking course.
Contact PMKVY: He came to know about the ongoing training programs run by PMKVY in Gramin Shiksha Private Limited. There he participated in an Hardware & Networking event for 300 hrs. It was a completely free course being conducted by NSDC. He decided to join computer hardware and networking courses for better career options there. He then adopted a gaming course because he found it interesting.
About Hardware & Networking: After completing the course of PMKVY had issued a certificate for his future need. Therefore with that certificate and knowledge gained through the trainings he is joined in a Aalankritasloutionsas a System administrator. He is getting 8,500 per month. The hardware & networking topics taught to him in PMKVY like Basics of Computer, Basics of Electronics, Parts of computer, Trouble shooting, software installation, Basic Networking are used in his organisation.Theorganisation is into development by offering its production services to public. It is also planning to render its training services by providing quality training to the students.

A training center trained and certify students by training them. To join us or to become our franchisee training center, the training center provides the fees for joining us. This fee is provided to us by the training center in two phases.

Manju
Manju belongs to a family where her father earns a meagre amount to support the basic needs of the family. He is a farmer by profession. Manju has studied till class 12.
Manju came to know about the institution of Gramin Shiksha Private Limited which was conducting free courses in the APPAREL sector in PMKVY due to the popularity of training center in its neighborhood and mobilization activity in its village. She wanted to join Healthcare sector, but could not afford the fees to be paid to other institutes, which charges a sum to certify as well. She came to know from the counsellors that this institute provides free training with NSDC certifications.
He always had high aspirations in life. She wanted to stand on her feet, no bus could walk because the family was not prosperous. Therefore, she did a "self-employed tailor" free courses, which would help her pursue a career to her liking.
After joining Empower Pragati's PMKVY Gramin Shiksha Pvt Ltd, he not only gained practical and theoretical knowledge about job role, but also obtained certification from NSDC. They have acquired interpersonal skills through training and this has also boosted their morale. The course was of 1Year duration. She is now working in her home by running a small business, and is set as an example for other female students in her village. She now earns 15000 to 20000 Rs / - a month.
Deepak
He helped his mother in agriculture farming and cattle rearing to meet the basic needs of the family. Deepak wanted to support his mother financially, as she was the sole earner in his family. He started to work, but whatever they were earning was not enough to fulfil the basic needs. He wanted to pursue this course because he had an interest towards the electrical sector and wanted to become a field technician.
Deepak is going to live in the village ayalki when he comes to know from his friends that Gramin Shiksha Private Limited Fatehabad who is able to get employment in skill India by training students in the under free of PMKVY. He joined the training institute to pursue a hardware technician in this as he did not have enough money to enroll in a paid training institute. Furthermore, during his visit to the training center, he really liked the training facilities, practical laboratories and equipment, and was impressed with the teaching staff. He was told that this training is free and after the completion of the course, he will also be assisted in the placement. During which he learned computer proficiency skills and hardware technician skills.
He was hardworking and eager to learn. He always completed his tasks and practical tasks on time. He was always regular and punctual for the class. During classes, he was humble and had a positive attitude to fight all obstacles in life. After the completion of the course, he got a job of 7500Rs / - at a computer hardware shop in Fatehabad, near his village. Now supporting his family. After working for a year, Deepik started working on his computer hardware. Her mother is proud of her for her ability to cope with all the difficulties with colors of success. He now earns 20000 - 25000 Rs / -.
Bikram
This is the story of Bikram, a 25-year-old boy who lives in Sahidawali, a small village in Fatehabad, he passed 10th from a government school. Due to poor family, he could not study much. His father runs a small business selling flowers in the market and is rich in hard work and dedication, but his income is less than he provides for his children in expensive metropolises.
Struggling over the years, Bikram passed in 10th standard. Although he wanted to pursue further studies, he had to give up his academic career due to the housework Bikram was forced to work in a small electronic shop in the village. He used to get 3000Rs / - from this work. Bikram was not satisfied with this salary because his needs could not be fulfilled with so much money.
One day, Bikram heard from his friends about Grameen Shiksha Private Limited, which trained students of Kaushal Bharat Mission and Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) to make students employable. Bikram in the electronic sector Field Technician - Air Conditioner Courses Joined Due to these courses being free, he easily joined it.
After completion of the courses of Field Technician - Air Conditioner, got National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) certificate, took a loan under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana on this certificate and started its electronic shop. Bikram has today become the owner of the shop from where he is earning 30000 rupees / - every month. Bikram is an example of realizing dreams through skill and devotion and never gives up. He is among the 10 lakh candidates who have successfully got better livelihood opportunities through the PMKVY skills training initiative under the Skill India Mission.
Anju Nayak
How a Job Seeker Ms. Anju Nayak became the Bread earner for her family members?
Beauty culture & Beauty Therapist are the services after Indian Beauties were crowned as Miss World and Miss Universe. Since then, such beauty enhancer centers are getting established in every nook & corner of urban and semi urban areas as well as in villages.
Since this is a service which expects high precision and skill, many girls and women are unable to enter into this service even after much interest and inclination. Anju Nayak of fatehabad was one such girl who had such aspiration, but lacked training and confidence to venture into this activity. At her personal level she tried to get training in Beauty Therapy at different centers, but everybody refused her on different counts.
On such an occasion, Skill India Mission means Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), Anju Nayak has brought a ray of hope to create something in life. When he came to know from his friends that even the beauty therapist in Fatehabad Courses are being conducted in Gramin Shiksha Private Limited, which shows that there will be placement opportunities along with freeing the course, then join the course after complete information. Anju Nayak carried out the incident with great interest. On several occasions, she volunteered to work as an instructor and learned every aspect of beauty culture and wanted to make her future a beauty parlor.
Anju Nayak wanted to start his own parlor, but initially faced a financial crisis as it involved a lot of expenditure on equipment and interiors. Then Anju Nayak applied a loan in the bank under pradhan mantri mudra yojana and got a loan of Rs.300000 / -, from which Anju Nayak opened his beauty parlor. Anju Nayak is very hollow, because he is able to earn bread for his family, but his ultimate goal is to join thousands of girls like him who are not fit for employment, with Skill India and we One can think that this day is not far away.
Sunil Kumar
This is the story of Sunil Kumar who did not have any employment after completing his study. Even after getting employment, he used to earn 8000 Rs / - month after working from morning to evening, which is very less in today's time.
Although being a graduate, Sunil kumar was unemployed and didn’t have much of confidence before joining Yoga Trainer Course in Gramin Shiksha Private Limited. He came to know about the course through mobilization activityon social media, so as to spread awareness regarding the skill education and he visited the centre after the activity. He wanted to start his career and support his family financially. Sunil kumar was already interested to be a part of the Yoga Industry, so during counselling session, he was advised to enrol in the Yoga Trainer.
After Counselling Session he felt that yoga is very important in our life, in which it is very much needed in the future, this made Sunil think that he will make his career in a yoga trainer, then joined this course.
After the completion of the course, Sunil Kumar wanted to open a yoga Center which did not have to do much investment and soon started earning well. Today Sunil Kumar is running three centers named Nikhilam Sajivani Aayog in three districts of Haryana as franchisee centers and has earned more than 30000 rs / - per month .
Not only is he currently supporting his family financially, but now he is also a role model for the young candidates of his village, who want to do a small study and start their career.
